Jubilee Campaign September 12th, 2008

If Gloria Dei is unable to raise the desired amount to move forward with the complete Jubilee campaign vision, are there priorities for what and how to proceed?

The Jubilee leadership team and the Governing Board were of the unanimous opinion that defining priorities ahead of time may cause some to feel that their particular area of most interest -- either the elimination of the mortgage, the renovation of the sanctuary, or the installation of an elevator and additional storage space -- would be less important. We did not want to give that impression, since we value each of these areas equally.

Through the Jubilee dinners, we would like to hear your priorities in the event we are not able to raise sufficient funds for the entire project. We wanted the congregation to have a say and help shape a potential prioritizing of the project.

So, to answer the question, we do not have a set priority list. If it comes to this, we will take what we have heard through the gatherings, look at what funds we will have available, and discern through prayer and discussion the course of action that will best meet the ongoing vision for ministry at Gloria Dei.

The Leadership team and the Governing Board will be diligent in providing ongoing information to the congregation as decisions are discussed, proposed, and considered.
